I was there for the first and last time today. Very unfriendly service, that doesn't work at all! I felt very uncomfortable. Prices partly usury. Not recommendable!

No greeting when entering, only on request, the information for me as a vegetarian that pork is in all cream cakes (gelatine). Even on the homepage there is insufficient information on ingredients. This is really medieval Apple pie just chopped apples with a kitchen base at the top and bottom. A ring tree cake - € 7.50, the rest of it completely overpriced.

I would like to give 0 stars. The service was very rude and unfriendly, I've never seen anything like that. As you can read in many reviews, the waitress often has a "bad day" and lets the customer out in a bad mood. The cake was expensive for such small pieces, the taste was mediocre, but it could also be due to the selected variety. Once and never again !

Deserved 0 stars! an outrageously unfriendly saleswoman, so going to the pastry shop is no fun. Never again. (Price for 3 pieces of cake 12 €)

Very tasty pies and cakes. There are also a few seats to enjoy the baked goods on site.

The pieces of cake are not exactly big and not cheap. -----> If I want something special, this is the right place. Large selection of wonderful cakes. And because they are not that big, I buy 2 pieces for each.

The cakes are incredibly tasty! However, we were there for the second time. The first time I was run over my mouth because I asked what which cake is because there were no labels with a description. Today I was there with my friend and we bought 9 pieces of cake, I was sent out twice because only two customers are allowed to be in the store at the same time and these customers were let into the store twice. Everything understandable due to this situation. BUT I was a customer just like everyone else! Completely unauthorized to send me out as a customer to give other customers the 'go first' !!

I love the vanilla butter cream cake. But everyone else is very tasty too.

Friendly service, but super small pieces of cake, disproportionate to the price and compared to pastry shops I have known so far. Very small selection of cakes and taste only average.

I was looking for a pastry shop in Essen and came across the Pauelsen confectionery on the internet. The negative reviews have somewhat irritated me, yet I wanted to make myself a picture. I have to say that I can NOT agree with the negative reviews. Although I arrived shortly before closing time, I was received very friendly. The ladies were very dedicated and motivated to help me with the selection of the cake. I'm looking forward to the cake and will rate it again.
